Financial Clarity for Minds that Work Differently
Our Mission
SafeSpend was born from a simple realization: bank balances lie. For those of us navigating ADHD, Autism, or cognitive overwhelm, a standard bank balance doesn't show the "ADHD Tax"—the hidden costs of forgotten bills, uncancelled subscriptions, and dopamine-driven impulse spending.
Standard budgeting apps rely on retrospective guilt. They show you what you spent last month and tell you to "do better" next month. Our mission is to replace that guilt and anxiety with radical clarity. We believe that if you can see exactly what is safe to spend today, you can make informed choices without fear.
The Waterfall Depletion Model
We built SafeSpend around a proprietary algorithm called the Waterfall Depletion Model. Instead of asking you to categorize every penny of your past spending, SafeSpend looks strictly at your future.
The model acts like a series of buckets. When money enters your account, it must flow through and fill your most critical buckets first:
- 1. Committed Spend: Your non-negotiable upcoming bills.
- 2. Deficit Reserves: Money held back to cover bills in the next cycle if a gap is detected.
- 3. The Virtual Vault: Your personal safety net and automatic sweep savings.
Only the money that cascades all the way through these protections is presented to you as your Honest Balance. If you see £40 on your screen, that means every single priority above it has been mathematically guaranteed. You can spend it in absolute peace.
The Human Behind the Code
SafeSpend is a labor of love by a solo independent developer. I built this tool because I needed it. As a neurodivergent father running a household of eight, I know exactly how high the stakes are when it comes to financial stability. The mental load of managing a large family budget while dealing with executive dysfunction was crushing, and no existing app on the market solved the actual problem: "How much can I spend right now without bouncing a check?"
So, I built the solution myself.
SafeSpend is the flagship product of DeliriousDreams, my UK-based development studio. We are dedicated to building high-utility, jargon-free tools that respect the user's cognitive load. We don't sell your data, we don't bombard you with credit card offers, and we don't try to shame you into better habits.
We just give you the math of peace of mind.
